Things are heating up this summer at Paul Martin’s American Grill in Scottsdale. The restaurant has introduced a featured selection of specially priced $12 lunch and $16 dinner entrees, plus an expanded selection of its $13 entrée, fries, and beer combo available on the happy hour menu. In addition, Paul Martin’s American Grill is hosting weekly complimentary wine tastings so that guests can explore the world of wine.

The $12 lunch deals include sandwiches, salads and more. The Pork Chili Verde Enchiladas are made with slow roasted pork, and mild chili, and served with avocado, tomato, and cucumber salad. A Grilled Salmon Sandwich features arugula and housemade tartar sauce on a fresh baked roll.  Veggie lovers will enjoy the Vegetable Pasta made with homemade lemon fettuccine, white wine, garlic, chili flakes, Parmesan, and toasted walnut pesto (add grilled chicken for $3). A great light lunch option, the Half-Turkey Sandwich Combo features house smoked turkey on toasted whole wheat with havarti, tomatoes, pesto aioli, and arugula, paired with a choice of soup, organic greens salad, or french fries.

The $16 specially priced dinner entrees include hearty options, as well lighter dishes. The Grilled Salmon Salad is tossed with organic lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, sunflower seeds, and house dressing. A salad for the meat lover, The Steak Cobb Salad showcases tender hanger steak, bacon, grilled avocado, blue cheese, tomato, radish, egg, and house vinaigrette. Chimichurri Chicken features grilled chicken breast served with wild mushroom farro, cipolline onions, and Bloomsdale spinach. A larger portion of the Vegetable Pasta is also featured on the dinner menu.

In addition to lunch and dinner specials, Paul Martin’s has a generous happy hour offered daily from 3 to 8 p.m. in the bar area. Select from a variety of $5 appetizers, such as Maple Cider All Natural Grilled Chicken Skewers, Smoked Salmon Lettuce Cups or shredded beef Street Tacos. Also offered on the happy hour menu is a selection of $9 share plates, such as a Butcher’s Board showcasing a selection of local cheeses and artisan salumes or the Fresh Ahi. Those with a hearty appetite will enjoy Paul Martin’s American Grill’s expanded entrée, beer and fries happy hour special. For only $13, guests now choose from the Bistro Burger, BBQ Pork Sandwich, or Fish and Chips, plus house fries, and any craft draft beer. Happy hour drink selections include a wide variety of wines by the glass or handcrafted cocktails for $5, $9, or $13, and beer on draft for $5.

Before or after happy hour or dinner, guests can take advantage of Paul Martin’s American Grill’s complimentary weekly wine tastings, held on select Wednesday and Thursday evenings through October. During the events, enjoy samples of featured red and white wines, as well as bubbly. Each tasting will showcase wines from different vintners, such as Michael Pozzan Wines, Trinchero Family Estates, Bonny Dune Vineyard, Rutherford Wine Company, Martin Ray Winery, Piper Sonoma, and Talbott Vineyards, among others.

The summer wine tastings are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on the following dates in July, August, September, and October:
